The Bimota DB2 was first introduced in 1993 and produced until 1997. The bike featured the air cooled 90 degree desmo V twin used in the Ducati 900SS in a lighter more compact trellis frame. Weighing about 30 lbs less than a 900SS SP, the DB2 replaced the DB1 and served as a relatively high volume bike for Bimota with roughly 1500 bikes produced over the entire production run.

The bike here is an Edizione Finale. One of the 100 bikes built in 1997 with only 10 bikes imported to the U.S. It featured different paint, wheels and brakes from previous versions as well as numbered plated on the top the tank idenfying which bike it was in the final production. This bike is number 10. The bike is outfitted with the Bimota optional carbon fiber mufflers, 41mm Keihin flat slide carburetors, K&N pod airfilters, Brembo cast iron full floating rotoers and Dymag carbon fiber wheels, and Vortex adjustable clip ons with Brembo remote reservoir brake and clutch master cylinders and custom tuned by Doug Lofgren.  These changes drop about 20 lbs of additional weight from the bike bringing weight with all fluids and a full tank of gas to below 380lbs. All the stock parts for this bike are stored so the bike can be returned to stock condition for static display.
