Superbike racing was born out of amateur racing in the U.S. where racers began racing the largest displacement motorcycles from BMW,Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha at roadrace courses across the U.S. in AMA sanctioned races.
