Produced as a road going replica of Suzuki’s 500GP XDR45 racebike the RG500 had a square four 2  stroke motor (2 parallel twin cylinders with separate crankshafts ganged together) in an aluminum frame. During the mid 80s Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki all produced road going replicas of their 500 GP bikes (NS400R, RZ500 and RG500 respectively). The RG500 had the highest performance of the three,  with more horsepower than the Honda and significantly less weight than the Yamaha.

This bike was imported to the U.S. from Canada by a previous owner. It has Wolf expansion chambers and Lance Gamma air filters and modified clutch. The stock expansion chambers are stored so the bike can be put in stock condition for static display.
