Built to commemorate Honda’s 3 cylinder 2 stroke 500 GP NS500 racebike which Freddie Spencer won the 1983 500 GP championship on, these bikes featured a liquid cooled 400cc 90 degree V3 2 stroke engine in an aluminum frame. Limited to 400cc displacement to avoid limitations imposed by Japaness domestic market regulations, the Honda had significantly less power than Yamaha’s RZ500 and Suzuki’s RG500, but was a sharper and more agile handling bike compared to the Yamaha and Suzuki.

Never produced for the U.S. market, this bike was imported at some time from Japan by a previous owner. The bike has Jim Lomas expansion chambers to reduce weight and increase power and otherwise stock. The stock expansion chambers are stored so the bike can be returned to stock condition for display.
